It is amazing how strong in spirit children are. In the new picture with McKean at football practice he is tackling a bigger kid. This was 3 years ago, he was 6 and weighed a whoppin' 41 pounds. Most of the boys on his team were about 60-120 pounds. Every practice he was excited to go. During almost every practice he cried and thought about quiting, but after every practice he was pumped up and ready to come back and play the next day. He got an award for being "the heart of the team...the most resilient". Every time I get down about work or things I have to do I remember how hard he worked and tried to be the best he could at every practice, even though it hurt...a lot, and I realize that the spirit of that little boy at age 6 could carry us all ten fold. All of our children have been the inspiration that keeps me striving to be the best person I can be.
